Professor Mzikazi Nduna
Prof Mzikazi Nduna is an esteemed South African academic and consultant with expansive experience as an educator, trainer, and advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Professor Mzi Nduna was part of the team at the Medical Research Council that undertook the successful Randomized Controlled Community Trial evaluating an HIV behavioral prevention intervention, the Stepping Stones. Prof Mzi Nduna has 15 years of academic work experience in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand. A recipient of multiple grants and fellowships, Professor Nduna established the Net10 research working group for capacity building and research networking. Her research outputs include 64 peer-reviewed journal articles, 2 books, 4 special issue journals, and several research reports. She is the author of A Magnifying Glass and a Fine-Tooth Comb- both focusing on adolescent girls and young women’s sexual vulnerability. Professor Nduna’s research knowledge is available in multiple mediums and contributes to workshop and training interventions, and policy advocacy. She is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for SisterLove International, South Africa.
